About Falcon
Falcon Labs turns the post-transaction experience into an incremental revenue stream for online services and a rewarding moment for their customers. Our solution uses advanced technology and AI to deliver personalized, contextually relevant offers to consumers at their peak engagement moment, right after they complete a transaction.
The moment after a transaction is one of the most underutilized surfaces in commerce: intent is high, trust is established, and attention is real, yet for most brands it still ends with a static confirmation screen. We operate across major e-commerce ecosystems (Shopify, Wix, and a growing set of technology partnerships), earn a take rate on advertiser conversions, and run on real-time decisioning, Snowflake analytics, and an expanding push into agentic automation across the network. We are a team of ad-tech veterans from the mobile advertising world (ironSource/Unity).
The Role
We’re looking for a highly analytical and data-driven Business Analyst to join Falcon at the intersection of data, AI, and business performance.
This role is centered on using data to understand what is happening across our business and partner ecosystem, why it is happening, and where the greatest opportunities for improvement exist.
You will work with large and varied datasets, identify the right data sources for different business questions, analyze performance and trends, investigate anomalies, and uncover opportunities for growth and optimization.
A key part of the role will be translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations that can influence product, commercial, and business decisions.
You will also work with Falcon’s partners to understand their businesses, goals, and performance. The client-facing component complements the analytical work, giving you the business context needed to conduct better analysis and turn insights into meaningful action.
What You’ll Do
Own ongoing analysis of business and partner performance, identifying trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas requiring deeper investigation.
Identify the appropriate datasets, databases, metrics, and data sources needed to answer business questions and evaluate performance.
Work directly with large datasets to analyze revenue, conversion, engagement, monetization, customer behavior, and other key performance indicators.
Query, organize, validate, and interpret data to ensure analysis is accurate, meaningful, and actionable.
Investigate changes in performance and determine the underlying drivers behind increases, declines, anomalies, and unexpected results.
Develop hypotheses based on data, test those hypotheses, and use the findings to recommend specific actions or areas for further exploration.
Build recurring analyses, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that help teams quickly understand business performance.
Define and monitor KPIs and develop a strong understanding of which metrics matter most for different partners, products, and business objectives.
Use data to identify opportunities to improve monetization, conversion, engagement, revenue, and overall partner performance.
Analyze experiments and A/B tests, evaluate results, and help determine appropriate next steps.
Use AI tools and Falcon’s internal capabilities to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, investigate performance, and improve decision-making.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Commercial teams to translate analytical findings into product improvements and business initiatives.
Work with clients when needed to understand their business objectives, present relevant findings, and provide data-supported recommendations.
Develop a deep understanding of Falcon’s data, products, partners, and business model and become a trusted internal resource for performance insights.
What We’re Looking For
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work through complex datasets and identify meaningful patterns and relationships.
Experience working hands-on with data and using analysis to answer business questions and influence decisions.
Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently query and analyze data from databases.
Experience identifying which data sources and metrics are relevant to a particular business question rather than relying solely on predefined reports.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
Experience with BI, analytics, or data visualization tools and the ability to build clear dashboards and performance reporting.
An investigative mindset and a natural tendency to ask why something happened, dig deeper into the data, and validate assumptions.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or issues within data.
Ability to move from raw data to insight and from insight to a clear business recommendation.
Strong business judgment and the ability to understand the commercial implications behind analytical findings.
Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort working independently, taking ownership of analytical projects, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.
Interest in AI and enthusiasm for using AI tools to improve analysis, productivity, and decision-making.
A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, business, economics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
Experience working with data warehouses, relational databases, or cloud-based analytics environments.
Experience with tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms.
Experience in ad tech, retail media, e-commerce, marketplaces, performance marketing, or another data-intensive technology environment.
Experience analyzing metrics such as revenue, conversion rate, ROAS, engagement, customer acquisition, monetization, and incremental revenue.
Experience designing or analyzing A/B tests and experiments.
Experience working with client or partner data and presenting analytical findings to external stakeholders.
Familiarity with Python or other analytical tools is a plus.
What Makes This Role Different
This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, business strategy, and AI.
The primary responsibility is to use data to uncover what is driving performance and identify opportunities that may not be immediately visible.
You’ll have access to meaningful business and performance data and the opportunity to analyze it deeply, challenge assumptions, identify patterns, and influence what Falcon does next.
Because you’ll also have exposure to partners and Falcon’s leadership team, you’ll be able to connect the analysis directly to real business decisions and see the impact of your recommendations as the company scales.
